Our swords are primarily made from 5160 High Carbon Spring Steel. We do our own heat treating and tempering. Swords are tempered to 52 degrees on the C scale. They are forged to shape and then ground to final size and shape. We use natural hardwoods from all over the world.
African Blackwood Single Hand Thrusting Sword
This Thrusting Sword has a 31 3/4 inch blade. The overall length is 38 inches and weighs 2 lbs. 8.6 ozs. The blade is 1 5/8 inches wide tapering to 7/8 inches 2 inches from the point. The 7 5/8 inch guard and 1 3/4 inch disk pommel are 1018 steel. The handle is African Blackwood. The POB is 6 1/2 inches in front of the guard. This blade does not have a sheath at this time, but on could be made in short order,by my wife, Trena The blade is not sharpened right now, but we will sharpen it for free if you want. Please allow a few extra days for this to happen.
