Our knives are made primarily out of 1084 or 1095 High Carbon spring Steel. They are hardened typically to 57 - 59 degrees on the C scale. I prefer natural materials over synthetic materials for handles.  I do make my own mosaic pins, generally based on patterns I have seen.
