I make my swords are primarily from 5160 High Carbon Spring Steel. I do my own heat treating and tempering. Swords are tempered to 52 degrees on the C scale. They are forged to shape and then ground to final size and shape. For handles, I primarily use natural hardwoods from all over the world.
This sword features a blade that measures 32" long and 1 3/4" wide with a slight taper measuring 1 1/4" wide, two inches from the point.
The handle is made of Bocote, and I the fittings are solid brass. The guard measures 8" wide and the solid brass wheel pommel measures 2".
This sword is mighty and hefty weighing in at a total of 3 pounds, 10 ounces overall.
